Kitten rescued from Lavender

Warning!

Loads of cute photos ahead!!

sleeping with mouth opened
ready to jump!

How adorable is he????

This poor baby was found abandoned at the doorstep of an elderly lady caregiver on Tuesday morning. Not strange, cos we guess the meaning behind the person's action is to leave the kitten in the lady's care.... Which is pretty much  due to the person's knowledge that the lady loves cat and assumes she wouldn't leave it in the lurch.

Sigh...

Anyway, this male baby who is estimated to be about 3 to 4 weeks old, is under our care.

feasting hungrily
And looking for an adopter!

Though he just started learning to eat wet food, he requires milk to be fed on a daily basis until he is 3 to 4 months old to make up for the loss of nutrients from mummy's milk. Needs load of time and attention as the adopter would be the new "mummy" to him...

Interested adopters pls contact us!

Hiroki kitty

 Hiroki

Hiroki is now under our care, hoping to be able to find him a suitable home soon! He is really sweet as he likes to follow us around... Tend to gently climb to your shoulder and lick your face. Extremely sweet baby (:

Think he likes the company of people which may be due to his 'mummy' being a lady who nursed him to perfect health ever since she found him when he was just 2 days old. Also like the company of other cats too!

He's got this droopy eyes which make him even more unique and cute.
Do consider giving Hiroki a home!

Tofu Boy - A cancer stricken and paralysed cat

Tofu Boy is a cancer stricken and paralysed cat. We picked him up for boarding on Saturday.

He is not able to walk as he is suffering from cancer of the lymph nodes which results to lumps and paralysis from the lower body down. He could not move his hind legs at all. So most of the time he is lying down. We had to clean him up each time he did his business as he will just pee and poo in any position.

Whenever we clean him and held him in our hands, we can feel how much pain he is in. But from his eyes, we can tell how much he longs for your affection and love even in such pain. No doubt he cannot move his back leg, he would still try to crawl towards us with his hands and rub against us.

Whenever we see our other cats roaming freely and when we look at Tofu Boy half motionless, its really saddening... Like why must this happen to him and he is just 2 to 3 years old. Still so young and suffering from all these with not much time left... ); While outside, he often wants to crawl out from his carrier to look at the grass fields and surroundings.

We know that he wants to get up on his legs and start running again. We feel really sad and sorry seeing him in such state. Fosterer does not feel optimistic even with chemotherapy... maybe from the doctor's experience, its a risk.... Hopefully, just hopefully, he will overcome all odds and get back on his feet again!

All the best, Tofu Boy!

Comparison

Ok we are more convinced that this kitten found, is a cross of Maine Coon which a friend of ours own one. Her name is Lu-a will try to take a photo of her later today during pet sitting!

Actual Maine Coons:

Our Maine Coon cross found:

A bit similar in the mane at the face and chest area?

Updates on Cleo & Salem

For Salem: He is very obedient now and extremely friendly with strangers. Very curious little kitten and enjoys napping on peoples' laps and playing with their hair. Very gentle kitten, he always keeps his claws in and gets along well with other cats. Weaned and on solid foods. Understands the commands "No" and "Go Away". De-wormed, but yet to be vaccinated.

Cleo: A bit timid, but warms up quickly. Trusts people completely. She is very sweet and fights for attention from her brother. She loves to be picked up and placed on peoples' laps. Wean-ed so she is on solid food already. De-wormed but yet to be vaccinated.

Here's some cute videos of them:

Blind and deaf old dog on the way to new home

This dog was found abadoned at a HDB void deck in Jurong by some heartless owner. He is about 8 to 10 years old, both eyes totally blind and deaf, he was shivering terribly when I first saw him. What a poor fellow. Must be so terrified ever since owner abandoned him.

Thankfully he was being adopted by a lady who takes in handicapped animals and adopt them. Wow! Wish to be able to do something like that too in the near future (=

Spottie on trial adoption

Spottie is on trial adoption for 1 week as of 6th Jan 2010. Hope both Spottie and adopters love the company of each other and would continue this adoption as a lifetime committment!

Story of Milky, an abandoned kitten

I was born a tri-colour female cat. My mother gave birth to me at home. She took great care of me and my siblings. At that period of time, I felt so secured and happy. I thought I am lucky to have a house to stay and even happier with my mummy and siblings by my side. When I finally got to open my eyes, I saw my mummy, brothers and sisters. We had fun together and when hungry we always went to our mummy for milk.  The world I saw, it was so beautiful and worries free then.

2 months into my life got me more attached to the house and my family. I wish I could always be with them. I always felt that my brothers and sisters are much cuter and better looking than me. But never did I feel unhappy because I know I had a loving home and family.

One day, I was doing my usual things, sniffing and playing around the house with my siblings. Then I saw my owner walking to me, hand carrying a carrier. I was curious, what is that box? The next minute, I was put into the carrier along with some milk. I never felt so confined and afraid before. Why isn't my mummy, brothers and sisters with me in the cage? Then my owner took me away. For the first time I was alone...

The owner took me to a place unfamiliar to me. I was being placed at a HDB void deck and my worst fear came true when I saw my owner turned and walked away. I was so frightened I kept crying!

"Come back, where are you going? Don't leave me alone...."

I kept crying for him but my owner walked further and further away before I could no longer see him. It was a terrible feeling that no one could ever understand, the agony of being abandoned.

Hours passed, my endless cries turned into coarse voices. I started to give up, thinking it must be the end of my life. Anything bad could happen and I had totally no control of my life. It was then I saw a figure approaching me and I hid at the far inner end of the carrier, shivering. He lifted me out of the carrier gently with a concern look and started to stroke me. His strokes felt reassuring and I started to feel slightly better. Then I heard someone whom I guess supposed to be the cleaner, asked

"Are you going to keep it? If not I am going to throw it away."

Why am I treated like a rubbish and where is my family and the loving home I used to stay? I then realised the world is not as perfect as I had pictured it.

"Yah, I will keep it," replied the person who found me and he carried me away. He brought me to his home and he let me roamed around. Later, I was fed milk and food. I feel like home again. My family came to my mind and I really missed them. No one to cuddle and play with now, I thought. Then a hand lifted me up, I was placed against my owner's chest and was stroked on the head. I felt the warmth which is the same when I cuddled with my siblings. I felt comfortable and fell asleep in his arms. It was then, I realised, this is truly my home sweet home!

Now, I am 1 and a half years old, still staying with my owner and happily playing with my friends everyday. Having met him is the best thing that ever happened to me because without him crossing that path that fateful day, my life would have long ended...

Abandoned BaiKnight for adoption

BaiKnight

Bai Knight was an abandoned cat discovered by a feeder some time ago. When she discovered him, he was just a skinny cat. Feeder took care of him and he gained weight, however he was easily frightened. Even slight movement or noise will frighten him and he will run. He always has black oil stain on his body as he is constantly sleeping under any vehicle. He would only come out when it is near his feeding time. Give him a home so he can feel secure and feel loved again. He is always hiding under any available vehicle causing many black petrol stains on his body. He is estimated to be around 1-2 years old. Always seen under a block at evening time when he is waiting for the feeder. He enjoys to be pet and needs time to get closed to.

Cat Rescued @ Katong

Was attending one of the viewings for the cats when we headed to a HDB block at Butterworth Lane. Before making a detour, chanced upon this Katong cat there.

She looks so, so poor thing she was just lying like that on the grass next to a small drain. Her fur condition is very bad, dirtied all over her body especially on her face. Drooling constantly, similar to Fighter's condition. Patches of wounds on the body, feet and chest area. In fact it looks like wounds resulted from cigarette burns. If you have seen anyone inflicting pain to this animal do report to us.

The residents there told us there used to be someone who fed her but after her illness began she no longer feeds this cat... Wonder why and hmmmm. The uncle told us, "Don't touch her, why you go and touch? It is sick" as in better not touch it because of the germs or virus. We know he was being concern about our well-being, just somehow feels that precisely the cat is sick so the more we should care for it and not avoid it like some kind of unwanted creature.

Initially she was quite afraid of us and moved a little away but it didn't take long to get closer to her. Thankfully she was trusting which for now, its a good thing otherwise it would be harder to rescue her!
She is actually very sweet... Doesn't scratch at all and was very still, without any struggle to get her.

Has been eating well and so right now, she is sleeping soundly under our care. Quite tired and has been resting most of the time after we brought her back. Would be giving her medicine and food on a daily basis, and observe her progress. Also intending to bathe and de-flea her.

Right now she is under seperation with other cats to better recuperate her health and also to prevent existing cats catching the fleas or an illness. This is out of no choice ); We do intend to bring her to the vet for a body checkup and blood test, once she is healthy she can be freed to roam about the house freely and play with other cats! Looking forward to that (=

Hence we are looking for sponsors to provide to her long-term, which can also help subsidise for her medical checkup. It helps us greatly as providing to so many cats everyday is a heavy expense, we would also be able to save more cats when there are support rendered. And it definitely makes her happier! If you want to chip in lesser amount is great too, as we said before, no amount is to small to save a cat (=

You can choose to contribute or donate some cat food items on a monthly basis that will be very much appreciated! There is no minimum quantity or amount (=
