Guardian of Pets... Embracing Pets Beneath Our Wings

How It All Began......

It all started one day back in 2009, as a dog-feeding trip at Pasir Ris Farmway. On that day, we found 3 puppies under a bush. One of them were badly injured with a large hole on his back. He was only palm-sized and the hole was really big. It was infested with hundred over maggots feeding on his flesh and he was continuously yelping in so much pain. We rushed him to the animal hospital. Vet advised putting him to sleep, saying he is too young to fight the pain and might not make it anyway. We insisted no. What if he wants to live on and we took away this chance? A miracle happened.

He survived.

We grew more aware of stray animals around us. Our love in animals grew with another adult community cat we brought back. Ever since then, we started to feed community cats found on the streets... our activities expanded and we took in more cats which are abandoned by owners or in need of medical attention.

To date, we are currently providing shelter for more than 10 cats, with the dog, rabbit and hamster. (The hamster was also found abandoned). Sadly, we cannot continue to shelter more pets due to space constraint. Hence we came up with an idea of adoption. This also helps save more animals in the long run. As well as provide pet related services since our interest is in animals. Our ultimate goal is to set-up an animal shelter to provide homes for all homeless animals!

This is not an easy path and we seek your fullest support in this cause!

GOP Mission
  1. Be the Best pet care provider
  2. Find homes for community animals through adoption
  3. Curb breeding of community cats through sterilisation
  4. Stop animal abuse by creating awareness and educating the public
  5. Set up an animal shelter for homeless animals in Singapore
GOP Values
  1. All animals deserve to be treated equally with a fair chance regardless of their age and looks. Hence we do not believe in taking in only adorable and appealing kittens or purebreed cats for adoption, or only nursing young ones back to health.
  2. Never to compromise the health of animals with our practices.
  3. Always maintain honesty and integrity with the help rendered from public, and to put them to good use for the welfare of animals.
Why say NO to Culling and Banning
Take a look around you - who deprives the animals of their home? Must we really be intolerant with them?
Would it be a pleasure to see the world with no animals around, just buildings, buildings and more buildings? Would you want to educate your children, the next generation, to be someone heartless?
Or would you rather them be a loving person and return your love?
Does it really give you a feeling of even a tiny small bit of happiness when ultimately the world is without animals?
Probably not. People like that would tend to find other things to complain upon. There's no end.
Negative thoughts and actions are harmful to our health... Give love and receive love in return, and you may even think that you are the most loved person on earth!
A happy person attracts happiness.....
While an unhappy/angry/frustrated person begets more unhappiness.
Sometimes all it takes is a little bit of graciousness and it gives you a whole world of happiness. (:

Being Happy and Healthy is most important. (=

Ways to help
Be part of this cause! There are many ways you can help homeless animals in Singapore. Make a difference in their lives today!

1. Be an adopter!
By adopting a pet, it is a lot easier for us to save more injured animals and provide shelter for the abandoned, when there is more space and resources. Click here for details.

2. Be a foster parent
You can lend us a helping hand by being a foster parent to take care of a pet before it gets adopted. Also it enables more cats to be rehomed. Please contact us if interested.

3. Be our volunteers
We need volunteers to
  • feed, shower, groom and play with our shelter cats
  • nurse sick & injured cats
  • provide food to community cats in Singapore. Island-wide feeders needed.
  • substitute feeders who are unwell or unable to provide feeding for a period of time
  • rescue kittens and sick cats discovered
Contact us if you wish to be part of the team!

4. Help spay/neuter community cats
Curb breeding of community cats by bringing them to the vet for sterilisation. You could engage our trapping and sterilisation service at a lower cost.

5. Be a donor or sponsor
Funds and pet food received will be used to aid cats like providing food, shelter and medical treatment. Being a long-term sponsor helps support the cats by providing for them in the long run, and enables us to save more cats. Please click here for more info.

6. Spread the word
Help inform your friends, neighbours and everyone around you about our Adoption & Re-homing programme. Ask them to adopt a pet, join as a foster parent or volunteer.

7. Be their voice
It is a serious offence to abuse animals in Singapore. If you witness any injustice, do not hesitate to report to the police and SPCA. You may call us if you need help.

Let's be actively against Culling & Banning of animals and Animal Abuse.
