Before surgery it seems like Darlie knew. He was shivering after reaching the clinic, unlike the previous time we were there. We comforted him and after that he did not even meow once. He is so trusting and harmless even though he is afraid. He is a true warrior. We always think Darlie has a lot of willpower to carry on.
Although it is painful and sorrow to see him lose an eye and his eye being stitched up, it is also a relief to see him alive, safe and sound from the surgery. I guess there is a mixture of mixed feelings but come again, whats most important is his life, that he is safe and sound (=
The doctor advised us to bring him back for follow-up to remove his stitches, in about 7 to 10 days. He is on e-collar now, pretty uncomfortable for him but he has to get used to it to prevent him from scratching his eye, which can hinder his recovery. He is now still on antibiotics, about 7 days more to go.
Overall its considered a success and we are all so glad that Darlie is able to continue life as a happy cat. Able to drink his favourite milk (=
To donors,
All these is not possible if not for your contribution. Despite how much we want to save Darlie, financially it was really hard at first. To support so many cats everyday and to provide medical treatment for injured and ill cats is really taxing. I know some of you may have some reservations when it comes to donation especially to people whom you hardly know. Nonetheless you still overcame this doubt and decided to go ahead for the sake of Darlie. That is the love for animals (: We are so grateful and really, really appreciate your trust in us.
Also thanks everyone for helping out in one way or another!
